Who We Are The Council of International Programs is an affiliate of CIPUSA, a U.S. Department of State J-1 visa exchange visitor program, Founded in 1960 to promote cross-cultural exchange between the U.S. and foreign countries, the organization has brought over 10,000 international professionals from nearly 150 countries to the United States.
What We Do?
1.Recruits professionally qualified individuals from abroad and provides work-related orientation and places them with business,non-profit organizations and government agencies for work-based training. Placement period can range from 4 to 18 months. 2.Organizes short-term(1-5 week) training for groups or individuals, often sponsored by USAID OR OW. 3.Arranges housing stipends, insurance, local transportation, while the host agency makes a contribution to the overall cost. Fields in which CIP places professionals:
Architecture, Business, Commerce, Communications, Computer Science, Dental Assistance, Education, Finance, Information Technologies, Law, Library Science, Special Eduacation and Social work.
