Yes, the placement of MSIS is really good, even for International students. For all the Chinese seniors I know, they find a full-time job in US. But MSIS is recruiting more and more Chinese (majority from Kelley undergraduate) now, not sure whether it will influence the current situation. For my batch (about 12 Chinese), almost all Chinese find an internship or full-time directly. And all students who get full-time jobs have internship experience in US.
2. About companies
I think the career service for Kelley graduates is very good. And the power of alumni really helps recruiting a lot. Most students find a job or internship in campus. Below I list top companies hire International students.
For internship: Big four, Wellpoint, Cook, Cummins
For full-time: Big four, Cognizant
3. About program length
The length of the program is flexible and usually decided by your internship. For instance, if you find a summer internship, then you can finish the program in 16 months. If you find a one-year internship, you will finish the program in two years (including the internship). And for most domestic students who find a full-time directly, they go for one-year track.
4. About course
As you may know, MSIS is not very technical and focuses on training IT consultants. So teamwork and cases are everywhere during the program.
First semester is really intense. It's same for all students - Core, which includes fundamental courses and equals 15 credits. Also you have the pressure to find internship or full-time job. At least for me, who are new to US, lots of things need to learn and adapt.
You can choose to finish the remaining credits in one or two semester(s). And there are three concentrations: risk/secruirty, erp(SAP) and BI. Starting from this fall, MSIS offers a seperate track for BIA.
5. About scholarship
The only scholarship offered by MSIS is Graduate Assistantship, 5hr/week or 12hr/week. For my situation, they offer me GA with the admission letter. And the only thing I did was checking I wanna a scholarship in application form.
