同学我看你签名你还拿了CMU-21呢，我必须得问问你你是多大的定力就放弃CMU的牌子了。。。我iub和UW都纠结不出结果了。。。。。虽然我还没有找出IUB的不好但是家里还是控综排。。。。我能问问心路历程么。。。

还有我想问问IUB的学生为什么比其他学校的学生更容易找到偏咨询的工作？是career service做的好，还是IUB出来的学生都培养出来了一些咨询方面的能力？这些能力都包括什么？

The main reason is that I think Kelley suits me better. I'm not technical, and don't want to work as developer in the future. I prefer my career to be more business than technical. According to the future career path I researched for both programs, Kelley is the one I want.

Yes, the ranking and brand make me hesitate a lot at that time too, but I think doing something suitable for me is more important. And if you don't plan to come back China directly after graduation, then the brand of Kelley is good enough for you find a decent job in USA. And if you have working experience in USA, finding a good job won't be an issue in China then. It's only my thoughts though.

For business school, alunmi matter a lot. Lots of MSIS alunmi are working as consultants now, so they bring consulting job opportunities from their companies every year. Also, thanks to their great performance in their companies, companies appreciate the quality of our program and are willing to recruite MSIS students.

And to be honest, the program does aim to train consultants. To be a consultant, I think some key capabilites are soft skills, which are hard to describe, such as communication skill, presentation skill, ability to work in a team.  

If you like consulting, I think Kelley is definite a good choice. (However, iconsultant is not the only choice if you come to Kelley. Corporate IT is another main career path too) And if you prefer being technical, CMU may be a better choice. My opinion

Btw, IU does have lots of great programs. Besides Kelley, the music school and law school and some other schools have very good reputation too. The reason why the ranking of IU is not that good is that we lack science schools.

楼主，想问一下这里所说的consulting主要是指IT consulting么？比如accenture/IBM这类的，还是偏business/strategic方向的？

另外，有毕业生去data analyst/big data方向，或是去IT公司做产品方向工作的么？

Yes, the majority is IT consulting and big four. Accenture and IBM don't recruite international student.
Speaking of concentrations, risk/security, erp and BI/BA are most popular.
I don't know much about IT companies, caz lots of them ( google, windows, etc.) don't recruite international students (may hire developers, but it's not my goal at all).
