这里没有什么presuppose, "The stable functioning of a society depends upon the relatively long-term stability of the goals of its citizens."  是结论, 后面的是进行了一次逻辑推理来SUPPORT

presuppose是以...为前提,(E) It is used to illustrate the general principle that the argument presupposes. 意思是说明一个结论以之为前提的原则或规则,结论是A-->C,推理是A-->B,B-->C,B-->C就是结论得以成立的一个前提,说是假设也罢,原则也罢,字面意义不重要吧,觉得此题的重点是强调assumption,而不是support,不知这样理解对不对,也不知答案是标准答案吗?

Q8。原文第一句是结论。从It is clear 开始论证，一直到最后。中间and 连接两个并列论据。

论据1说，citizens have aspirations ＝》legislature craft laws to satisfy citizens

论据2说，laws increase citizens‘ happiness ＝》society stable

结论是，citizens’ goals ＝》society stable

应该是典型的A＝》B，B＝》C，推出 A＝》C

我的理解大概是这样的

3T的题干信息给出的info是经济下降，广告收入减少，但是反而人们阅读更多杂志，而且更多杂志成功。要解释这是为什么。C选项，就比较好的解释了。但是E选项无法解释，为什么在经济收入下降，广告收入减少的情况下还会出现后者的情况。因为如果E选项成立，应该不管经济跟收入下降与否，general intrest的magazine都会成功。

8T我也选错。不过后来看了presuppose是以什么什么为前提的意思，我的理解跟8楼差不多，本题题干应该是A-->B,B-->C,所以我也觉得我做错是因为跟之前不太理解presuppose的意思有关吧
