I know it's boring but you don't have better option.

Just make an example an ib may recruit 5 summer analyst from UPenn, 2 from Michigan and 0 from WUSTL. What will you choose? It's definitely way harder to become top 5 in UPenn than top 2 in Umich. If you consult New Oriental, I am sure they will ask you to apply for WUSTL MSF, which will turn out to be ridiculous.

Get an internship at a decent investment bank like CICC this summer. Leverage your dad. U understand? Then go apply for a summer analyst program at a BB next year and then the return offer. You need 5.5 year to graduate. I don't personally think you fit investment banking but if you really want it desperately it is the shortest cut (because you have already missed two chances for IBD recruiting), unless your dad can put you directly into Morgan Stanley.

Howdy, friend. Jon Frank here, happy to help! To be honest, your background is very impressive. You have a solid academic track record, and thanks to your family, you have awesome experience running businesses. To address your concerns, I think the first step is to ask yourself: “What do I truly want to do in the future?”

The MSF degree is designed for a very specific career path within the finance industry. A vast majority of the graduates will become finance analysts or researchers. An MBA, on the other hand, leads to much broader pathways. Since you have business experience and entrepreneurial drive, I believe an MBA might be best for you. Of course, it all depends on your personal interests and passion for business. If you think an MBA is the right choice, the first step is to get some more work experience under your belt, since MBA programs like to see at least a few good years.

Let me know if you have any further questions!
