答案是B，我感觉C比B更加正确，因为无论B是不是正确的，那些prevailing sensibility 都provided the foundation of Marcus Garvey's political appeal. 比如，如B所说，Marcus Garvey change a number of prevailing attitudes，但是change之后呢，那些新的a number of prevailing attitudes仍然provided the foundation of Marcus Garvey's political appeal.

这题我也错选了C。说说我的理解。
(C） The prevailing sensibility of the African
American community provided the foundation of
Marcus Garvey's political appeal.

这个the African American community 出现在30行，这句话说scholars...obscure the consciousness of identity, strength, and sense of history that already existed in the African American community。
既然是obscure，那么scholars就不可能认为The prevailing sensibility of the African American community provided the foundation of Marcus Garvey's political appeal.

就是说，既然scholars忽视了sensibility早就存在，那么他们当然就不会把sensibility当做Garwey的政治呼吁的foundation了。

我认为The prevailing sensibility =the consciousness of identity, strength, and sense of history

这两天没上CD，不好意思这么晚才回复。我的意思是，不管B是否正确,C肯定是正确的，C里面的prevailing sensibility可以是B里面的被改变之后的prevailing attitudes。

貌似scholars的观点才是最重要的唉。。这里的argue是反对的意思，But such an argument
only tends to obscure the consciousness of
。直到后面。作者想说的就是scholars认为，G没有创造这个意识，而是他用这个意识为他的政治目的所用。B选项，翻译出来的意思，就是这个意思。。。

我的意思是，被改变也好，被创造也好，最终都是个foundation，因此C肯定是对的。

文章的角度，这句判断确实是对的。但是从答案的角度，它就是错的，因为这样就等于说是scholars承认了MG的言论有群众基础了。

看了半天。。。明白点你的意思了。

B是说MG必须要改变某些观念，就是说MG的言论还没有群众基础，之后才能建立他的理论。
C是说MG已经有群众基础了。

这两个答案明显是一有一无的关系，而这正是题目要考察的。

那些scholor本来就承认MG的言论是有基础的，不然的话，不会说他创造了。

阅读不好，这段大概可以理解如下：
scholars认为G创造了一种共识，基于这种共识，他在1920建立了某某运动Some scholars have argued that Garvey created
(25) the consciousness from which he built, in the
1920s, the largest revitalization movement in
African American history.
但是，（作者认为）这种争论（指scholar的看法）模糊了已经存在的共识，列举……But such an argument
only tends to obscure the consciousness of
identity, strength, and sense of history that already
(30) existed in the African American community.
（最后，作者总结作者的看法）G没有创造这种共识，只是给了这种共识它的政治表达（指movement）Garvey
did not create this consciousness; rather, he gave
this consciousness its political expression.

只有第一句才是scholar的看法哦，作者和scholar的看法是相对的。
