I agree that WE CHINESE SHOULD STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. We should compete with other outstanding American students. I believe that our root and future is in China anyway (not Big 4 in America), and most of us will return to China one day. So, the reputation of the school you have graduated DOES count. If you attend a top MAcc program at a well-known business school, you will also benefit from their broad network China, as well as in America.
I am in the process of applying to MAcc, i did research on each of the top 50 business schools which offer MAcc programs.Based on my research, top MAcc programs require a GMAT score of over 610, but as we are Chinese, we should have at least 650 to be competitive.Other MAcc programs usually requires about 550.
As a Chinese, I believe that we all can achieve a GMAT score to apply to top MAcc programs.
Just add something to gentlesam’s opinion. A very average MAcc program requires as less as 500 and no work experience is needed (this is an advantage for coming undergraduates)!
I think you should try top MAcc programs based on your excellent stats, there is a very good chance for you to get in. Autucally, compared with schools like Sunfolk, top MAcc programs will help you on the visa and they have more scholarships than small schools. The tuition of top MAcc programs is not more expensive than the small ones.
