时隔快三个月,teddy又回来啦~翻了一下好像木有什么熟人还在练阅读了~anyway,练好阅读是今后学习的基础!秉承小分队天天阅读的精神,提升阅读水平永无止境!
废话少说,贴上今天的作业。

速度:(退步无止境啊……泪目)

(Syria Economy那篇让我突然想起前阵子查学校项目的时候查到有个program是focus on "Islamic Finance",这个program是不是就是研究像速度四提到的Syria Econ的?)


越障:9’05
(今天越障的内容我真的是格外喜欢啊~思路很清晰)
Main Idea:
Communication is the most effective approach to get employees engaging.
Structure:
1.There are a few drives of employee engagement: good leadership and a prestige reputation of a corporation.(Some out-dated methods should be discarded,such as the seemingly complicated leadership from the business journals.)
2. Explore the elements of affecting the profits of the company, and then illustrate why COMMUNICATION is the most effective method.(a positive cycle starting with effective communication--> engaged employees--> loyal customers--> great profits)
3. Even though COMMUNICATION is an effective way, it is not readily to implement. There are 4 barriers:
a.managers always give "hard" measures, like the orders to the employees.
b.Some of the managers have developed desirable commmunication skills.
c.modern techniques (communication tools for communicating in a large scale) can hardly be effective.
d.communication channels are absent.
4. the author mentions CSR and some approaches(4 exactly) to improve the communication skills of managers.

They collected a large amount of consumer data everywhere they can… Respondents of the report said their companies do not have a system helps them learn from failure. Openness is a big challenge for large companies…  The greatest opportunity for innovation is disruptive new technologies.. social media..  

1’59’’(250) A research shows in pre-crisis highly educated Americans were more likely to lend loans that they could not afford it. Highly educated Americans often overestimate their future economic, and perhaps they think with a college degree, they can immune all economic problems.

1’50’’(250) It’s not only housing speculations created more debts, there are debts in all parts of economy. Banks’ housing loans program are loaning without quality checkpoints… Banks collect fees and sell mortgage to second-hand markets. Many people hardly read the paper when signing something. Many highly educated Americans are not clear about what they are doing with their money.

2’17’’(291) Syria economics is affected by 18-months crisis. But in D, the capital of Syria, goods are still available. One man owning business said the goods are still , but prices gone up. People are cutting back, they only buy essential things. Syria economics actually depends on itself.

Tens of thousands people in Syria are crossing border fleeing away from the rebel violence. ** said, Turkey’s actions in border are hurt heart of humanity, and the whole Islamic world. ** hopes more people can enter when they flee away from the conflicts.

Women disdain companies playing corporation games. Fat salaries, fast cars and “playing corporation games ” do not attract women leaders. They look for companies have “culture”. A survey studies women leader whose position are director or manager..  They say their strength and abilities are different from men, but are also contribute to company’s success. Many women says companies offer only lip services to equality and diversity. It’s vital for companies to recognize the gender difference and encourage open discuss to these issues.

Main Idea: Communications is the key diver of the employee engagement and outstanding organization performance.

Structure:
>> Author’s opinion on leaderships
Today’s business magazines are full of articles with leaderships. But they are too complicated. The process of effective organization leaderships: you have a vision of what you do; persuasively communicate that vision to your employees; consist the behaviors to achieve the vision; Do this and your employees will follow.
People love change..
Look after your reputation..
>> Communication is the theme through all stages of effective organization leaderships:
Communication create engaged employees and create loyal customers which in turns create greater profits.
Why lack communications?
Four reasons:
(1) Communications is not daily work of senior manager. Many managers regard communications as extracurricular activities;
(2) Senior managers do not develop communication skills;
(3) Communication channel is lack;
(4) Communication around corporate citizenship is disjoint.
Four strategies to cope with:
(1) Education : employees must understand the vision….
(2) Development: employees must learn to distinguish organization communications and natural communications.
(3) Infrastructure : Companies must invest to build communication channels…
(4) Community: Companies must actively manage their reputations as corporate citizenships and engage employees.. wider communication..

如果觉得基础不好,先拿杨鹏长难句练习,一句一句地读;慢慢地,做作业的时候,再一段一段地读,每读完一段别着急往下进行,在脑中问自己这段讲了什么?回忆一下...

慢慢练就会好的~

如果觉得基础不好,先拿杨鹏长难句练习,一句一句地读;慢慢地,做作业的时候,再一段一段地读,每读完一段别着急往下进行,在脑中问自己这段讲了什么?回忆一下...

我之前做完了练了杨鹏长难句的GMAT部分,读长句子感觉没有那么痛苦了,但是还是做不到,那种不在脑中默读的习惯……
