Putin was content because of the Euro crisis, but he also thought moving to Eura union was too fast. For Russia, everything is doing OK. Changes from courts to bureaucracy were underway and Russia is attracting more investers.
However, Putin actually ignored some risks. Russia needs to develop small firms and services and investors are likely to move to other places. Russia is unwilling to face the greater domestic competition.
While Putin mentioned that Russia’s demographics is improving, more than half Russians want their children study abroad and more than a third want to leave Russia for better lives.
Putin focused too much on stability, thus discouraged the environment for entrepreneurship

putin put some comment on two things，and he justify it。


euro crisis bring Putin into complacency。

PUtin feel he is doing fine in his country this year

but the economy is is not so good， he ignore it

captital flight and skilled youth emigration is also a big problem。

putin said the birth rate is higher than deatn but most of the parents prefer their children to stay aboard

putin think stability is the most important thing， this makes lots of middle companies can't survive in this country。

putin regime think the western world is a threaten to them and they think it will still

4. Overwhelm messages from year’s Valdai… things were OK.. Putin “I’m doing fine”.. “Russia needs big reforms ” strikingly complacent. Putin said Russia will attract more foreign investors into high-tech and pharma.
5. Ignore deep-seated worries about Russian economy. Oil and gas revenue falls in importance, country needs to rebalance new firms…  But ill-protected property rights, taxation… hard to develop.
6. Putin’s “all is well” ignore risks that investors may move into other countries..
7. The country also lack confidence in scale of capital flight and emigration. A survey shows 68% Russians wants their children to study abroad , 37% Russians wants their children to leave Russia for good.
8. Mr .Putin seems to believe stability is everything. … do not value entrepreneurship.. Putin regime holds similar grumpy view of Syria and Arab Spring..
