2.OG 对A选项的解释还有：
The placeement of the restrictive clause that they could safelyhandle new debt after households could also cause confusion
      为什么呢？哪里confusion了？

that is meant to modify confidence and should be placed close to the noun；but the place of that seems to modify households


a sign of vs. a sign that  ( this split has already been explicitly stated by manhattan SC；you should think it over）

对了前辈，是不是that修饰的都是里它最近的名词呢？
我刚才看到OG13 SC 10题对C选项的解释：
The widely accepted big bang theory holds that the universe began in an explosive instant ten to twenty billion  years ago and has been expanding ever since.

(A) that the universe began in an explosive instant ten to twenty billion years ago and has been expanding


(C) that the beginning of the universe was an explosive instant ten to twenty billion years ago that has expanded

OG：The relative clause that has expanded describes instant, which makes no sense.

是不是就是你所说的 that is meant to modify confidence and should be placed close to the noun？

最近看了很多关于that 和which 的跳跃指代问题。that 和which一般是修饰最近的名词，但是有例外，会跳跃指代，修饰前面的某个名词，具体情况具体分析。有个帖子的。你可以搜一下。

DUKB前辈，“confidence by households that “在这种一个名词后面各一个介词短语的情况中，that 不应该是修饰confidence的吗？而不是修饰household. 而且，households 是人，不能用that来修饰，只能用who来修饰所以我觉得这里的that 修饰应该没有歧义的吧？

但是你这样的话，原本的核心结构应该是句子，这里变成了名词，不仅不平行，而且也显得很突兀

前辈说的有道理，我也发现了OG中经常会出现这种一个名词，正确答案后面用一个同位语从句来解释这个名词的含义，而不是介词短语限定这个名词的情况。不过我仔细读了一下这个句子，发现对于OG解释的onfusion有和前辈不一样的理解。我觉得that从句从句意上是应该修饰confidence的，但是 a sign of confidence by househods that， 我觉得语法上又是修饰sign的（曼哈顿中好像没提到这种一个名词后连续跟两个介词短语环环限定的情况，所以这只是我个人的推测），所以有点confusion了。求前辈指教。
