DescriptionDr. Peng Xi’s group in Dept. Biomedical Engineering, Peking University offers 1 PhD studentship position for a scientifically dedicated candidate. Duration: three years, prolongation possible. The project is funded by the Ministry of Education in China.http://www.csc.edu.cn/Laihua/12420441d085461ebd32f79e68d3e33d.shtml Our research team focuses on the instrumentation of optical nanoscopy and its application on novel quantum dot labeled imaging, single molecule imaging; as well as multiphoton and confocal imaging for in vivo optical diagnosis. We have developed CW STED optical nanoscopy system, spectral compensated multiphoton imaging, and real-time confocal microscopy techniques. This provides opportunities for dynamic, in situ imaging of cellular activities and biological tissue analysis. Applicants with background in optics, microscopy, electronics, or fields related with biomedical engineering are strongly welcome to apply.
