But as the problems in our country's education system mount, practitioners, policy makers and all those concerned about education know that more needs to be done to make the system more effective. The Darden School of Business and the Curry School of Education are partnering for a new MBA/M.Ed. degree designed for the next generation of education leaders — those who will revolutionize education in this country in a variety of ways and through a variety of means. Who should be interested in this dual degree?

Education policy makers
Investors (investment bankers, endowment fund managers, fundraising/development)
Consultants
Creators of technology
Education is not just a social concern but also a business concern. This dual MBA/MEd degree will combine signature features of Curry (evidence-based work in teacher effectiveness, curriculum innovation and measurable student achievement gains) and the entire Darden First Year experience (case method instruction, team building and an entrepreneurial way of thinking). Students will earn credits in a residency/internship with partners who provide real-world settings in the field of education. Graduates from this program can go on to work in a variety of education environments such as large, high-need urban school districts; large charter schools and charter management organizations; and other for-profit and non-profit education reform organizations. In these organizations, dual-degree graduates will use their knowledge of the value of human capital, the importance of data-driven decisions and the necessity for education systems to be measured on meaningful outcomes. The program runs for a minimum of 24 months (without a summer internship) and the first year will take place at the Darden School of Business. For more information, visit the following resources:
