偶的背景对考GMAT有益有弊。英文底子不错。高考时140。在香港大学念书,也是全英文教学,所以对英文不怵。不过我后来发现这对我阅读影响很大。虽然我阅读速度很快,但是长期看英文教材培养出来的习惯,就是一目十行,会自动过滤掉一些字眼。因为熟悉的人指导,英文教材实在废话很多,尤其商科的。整个一页翻来复去就重复一个观点,所以养成了很快过滤字眼的习惯。这种习惯一直带到阅读中,好多次都发现自己错就错在看不仔细。 Totally agree with you. In point of fact, sometime we have to slow down to find more specific details from the aritcles. The average pace of 250 WPM is a bit too fast: given that the number of words in one verbal test is 6k to 7k. |
