大家不能简单地拿几道OG出来，判断题目应该选什么。

as...as 得比较对象有两种:

一种是比较动作sth/sb do (I took gmat as early as you did)

另外一种是比较名词sth., (I got a gmat score as high as yours)

在这道题目里，

D是as institutions charge, 比较动作

E是as those,比较名词(charging是修饰those)

然后，看句子前面的比较主体：as many institutions(主语） charge（谓语） tuition and fees(宾语），所以，后面的比较应该是D those(institutions) charge(谓语）

但是，E不是错在语法。如果前面的句子改成: there are 5000 institutions charging tuition and fees as many as 后面就应该用E, those charging...

错误难免，请指正。

这个题目，我真得说不清楚D对还是E对。但是你说的those用法，我不是很同意。相反，我好像从来没有看到过：as....as those+谓语动词的。如果用了those or that指代前面的主语，我记得都是省略了谓语动词的。反而没有看到过没有省略谓语动词的。

抄了几个句子：

支持d，个人认为d比较对称，d和e同样省了宾语，为什么主语不能一起省了？要么全省要么全补足，这是语法的一大定律，所以选d

希望nn们指点，这道题很疑惑，我也犹豫了很久

这道题目又是有争议的，讨论了这么长时间也没有定论，哪个nn给看看？

明显在比较数量。前面charge tuition and fees of under $8,000 a year当作一个修饰成分，修饰institutions，和后面的charging对等。

比较的对象不同，应该补出those。否则可能产生歧义——那些institutions既charge over，又charge under。og里有一题地震的和这个类似。



楼上举的og例子省略的主语都是集合名词people，americans，不会产生诸如americans死2次的歧义。所以可以省略。

同意concong的说法，首先，as many institutions as those才对称，其次，charging under/over 16000,是对those的修饰限定。所以，答案绝对、一定而且是非E莫属的。

我觉得应该从逻辑意思来考虑:as后既可以加句子,也可以加名词;如果选d的话,看起来是并行结构,但正如楼上所提,比较点不对啊?!而

这里的those只待tuition and fees ,但问题是到底省略了什么?~~请教!
