I think the answer is E.

1. In D, from clause has ambiguiy. We do not know it 修饰 found or 作定语修饰 bones.

D 中的from修饰found :  考古学家从看起来是第二大恐龙的东西中发现了化石.

or

D 中的from修饰bones : 考古学家发现了来自看起来是第二大恐龙的东西化石,

About we should use "appears" or "appear". I only remember grammer book said if 主系表结构, the verb tense follows 表语单复数.

还是 from what apperas to...呢？请再想想看，是不是啊？

我觉得不存在歧义，因为:

from the second most massive dinosaur 只有一个意思，意思为“从恐龙里发现了化石”，而不管from the second most massive dinosaur 是修饰整个句子，还是修饰bones。

再说，E中的appear应该用单数啊

ft,现在才注意到e里的appear 不是单数形式，这...偶就不明白了。8过d 读上去确实有点2头修饰的歧义啊！到底应该是啥啊？有没有nn下个定论啊？
