这道题有一个ETS典型的陷阱:题目中并没有说X也是整数.所以是E.

这道题我一直也有疑惑，现在看了kaplan的解释终于有点明白了，我觉得选e可能更能表达句意，下面是我的理由：
1、lzm的答案不一定准确，很多题他都被公认是错的，此题也有可能;(各位别说我attacking person啊！ )
2、这里的would是用来表示虚拟的，所以相当关键，因为本来要发生的动作都没发生，都是一种假设,这种例子很多：
如，The enrollment of this college fell more significantly in last semester than otherwise it would.（自己编的，请包含，反正就着意思）
3、置于it seemed (that)...的that我觉得在不影响句意的情况下，可以省略；
4、they originally seemed 的they指带不够明确，并且未能表达动作的虚拟性；

以上观点，请指教！

Researchers are studying plastics that dissolve at different rates, and they are finding that the so-called "quick disintegration" plastics are taking more time to deteriorate than (they originally seemed.)
B:they seemed originally
C:it seemed that they would originally
D:it originally seemed
E:it originally seemed they would.
答案是E.大家讨论一下.实在没有什么做题的头绪.



KAPLAN解释:
The tricky part here is choosing between "they" and "it". "they" would imply that the plastics themselves first seemed to do one thing, and then ended up doing something else. The example "it" --the pronoun that has no antecedent--makes more sense; it suggests simply that initial indications turned out to be misleading. Using "it", it's necessary to include the phrase "they would" to make itclear-- what seemed to be the case.


我觉得该题目所有选项的they和前面的一个they are finding that...的they是否冲突了？
