我的理解是the use of new technology应该是整个句子的逻辑主语，in better sound than was ever before possible, in better 是修饰the use of new technology的，than （use of old technology）was ever before possible, 所以从这句话中可以看出 the use of new technology 的使用世态应该是一种现在的状态，所以A里面用was就是错误的。不知道这样的理解对不对？请nn指教

时态上讲，应该可以吧，至少满足时态一致。不确定的说。

对15楼观点很糊涂，什么时态既能同时满足has been和was？个人认为这道题不是考时态，而是倒装。

赞同12楼的：the use of new technology应该是整个句子的逻辑主语

但是10楼的改装如下个人认为有点歧异（如下红字部分）好像不应该放在这个部分。

所以我认为应该是这样的顺序：

如何judge？难道不能说：in better sound than was ever before possible, the use of... has been as remarkable as the development of the compact disc.?

从句意来说，个人觉得这样完全符合逻辑。

你的意思是因为in better sound than...是比较结构，所以主句就应该是比较结构。好像理由不充分吧。

不对。因为完全可以把前面改成符合语法但是是倒装的结构。比如，the development of the compact disc，一样可以解释通。

这样解释不合适。use...to...本来就是习惯用法，还有就是如果你可以这样去理解的话，ETS的这个句子就是unclarity，ETS不会这么糊涂吧？还有，从句意来讲，也是“新技术的使用使...新生”这个意思更好。当然，我这些都是几个旁证，不是决定性的证据。大N们快出来指点指点啊。

我觉的应该不是插入语，而是介宾短语的宾语后置

还原以后就是The use of the new technology has been no less remarkable than the development of the compact disc to revitalize some of the classic recorded performances of the pre-LP era  in better sound than was ever before possible.

简单的结构就是 The use of ...... has been no less..... than the development of .... to revitalize .......perfomances.....in.....than......
