6月8北美口语答题加笔记

今天在北美考了，阅读跟听力做得比较随便所以也没记清考了什么，口语的题目打算跟大家分享一下。我打算把我自己答题的笔记跟原文都写出来，希望能帮到大家。建议大家先看了我的笔记再看答题，这样笔记就会make sense 很多。如果大家觉得我答题的笔记和思路有帮助的话，请回复我，那我会开一新帖把我最具体的答题思路分享给大家。整理是个体力活，如果大家喜欢我的答题，就留言给我，我把写作也放上来吧。
口语：
1. If your friend has received a large amount of money, what would you suggest him/her to do with the money?
 笔记：? save some
           ? spend some
            ? donate some
  答题： if my freind is lucky to receive a large amount of money unexpectly, I would suggest him to spend it in three ways. First of all, to save some. because I want him to have some save-up for future emergency. Secondly, I would suggest him to buy himself a treat which he couldn't afford when he didn't have the money. Lastly, to donate the rest because I believe in good karma. If he is generous to help people who's in need, he will have good karma later on.


2. Do you think should follow the fashion?
  笔记：.   No
                 - hard to follow and cost too much
                 - suitable style
   答题：personally, I do not agree that people should follow the fashion trend blindly. I said so for two reasons. Firstly, fashion trend is hard to follow, when the new season comes out, the last season would be out of fashion. If you choose to follow the trend, you have to spend a lot on buying new outfits each season. Secondly, I think finding a style which is suitable for yourself is more important than merely following the fashion. When you are comfortable and confident in your outfit, you will look gorgeous. Those are the reasons why I disagree with the statement.


3. Advertise profile
   笔记：advertiser-->  target their potential consumer --> boost the sale
              - milk company
              - investigate, who, how often, why
              - women --> health benefits
              - doctor --> emphasize the health benefits
              - sale a lot
    答题：the lecture is about advertise profile, which is defined as an approach created by advertiser to help them targeting their potential consumer, in order to boost the sale.
               the lecturer used an example of a milk company to illustrate the term.
              The advertiser investigated about who would buy milk, and how often and why would they buy it. They found out that women buys mild and they concerns about the health benefits of the milk more than anything else.  So that they then invited a doctor to emphasize the health benefits of their milk in the advertisement. Successfully, the sale of the milk was increased.
               This example clearly illustrates the meaning of advertise profile.


4.musuem assignment
笔记：visiting the musuem
               - experience the work
              - group discount
               Female agrees
              - from different angle & unforgettable
              - normal price expensive
    答题： the note is about the museum assignment. The professor suggests the students to visit the local museum and he is going to get a group discount on the tickets for them.
                The female student is happy about this trip. In her opinion, the students can watch the art work from different angle and ts experience would be unforgettable. In addition, the ticket price was too expensive for students and having group discount is a great opportunity to visit the museum. Therefore ther female student is so looking forward to the trip.


5. 笔记 p: the school dormitory is closed during spring break, but Steve needs to find some place to stay and write up his history paper.
  S1: stay with Nick's family
         -ve --> X concentrate on the paper
  S2: housekeeper for a professor
        -ve --> lonely
        +ve --> focus on the paper
  答题：the problem here is that the dormitory is going to close during the spring break, but Steve needs a place to stay for writing up his paper.
             The students have discussed two solutions. The first one is to stay with Nick's family, and the second one is to be the housekeeper for a professor.
             If I were Steve, I would go for the second solution. The first solution is not so good, as he said, he might not be able to concentrate on his paper if he stayed with Nick's family.
             The second solution sounds better, even though he might feel lonely sometimes, he can always watch tv or visit the local attractions when he is bored. Besides that, he would have one week to focus on his paper.
              (Therefore, in my personal view, second solution is better.)


6. 笔记：features of the locations
         1. Low in light pollution
               E.g areas away from the city
         2. Dry air
               E.g desert
答题：in this lecture, the lecturer talked about the two features of the locations where the observatory should be built.  
          The first important feature is that the area should be low in light pollution. For example, the areas away from the city, where is has less car lights or street lights. light pollution harder the observation  at night.
           The second feature is that the area should have dry air. For example, the desert. This area has less humidity and the sky is clearer to see.
           So that low in light pollution and dry air are the two features of location selection.
