Congratulations on the invite!  All the R1 candidates who have applied for merit-based scholarships will be evaluated solely based on their respective competence and performance. Timing of applications/interviews never matter.

Just stay cool.  According to admission officers, only a tiny part of R1 decisions (less than 10%) have been delivered by far.
