Hello there.  Yes…your GPA WILL be a big problem.  What happened there?  L  You have a great GMAT score and TOEFL, so if you write a great Optional Essay you will be fine.  But…the Optional Essay will need to be really great.  Check out our website for some (free) ideas there by the way.  Your consulting experience is stellar, and so is your NGO work—don’t worry about Tier 1 versus Tier 2—the fact that you have international experience is very good for you. Your real problem will be your GPA.  If you can conquer that (assuming that you straighten out your career goal of course) you will be just fine.  Career goal-wise, you need to find something that connects your past experiences to your career goals; not sure what that is (we barely know eachother! J  ) but that’s your key, find SOMETHING that allows you to talk benefit from your great work background.  Hope this helps—you have lots of work to do, but I have faith that it will work out for you.  Just need to come up with a compelling optional essay, and logical career goal for a top MBA program.  And apply early of course…GOOD LUCK!

个人觉得LZ的高GMAT可以弥补GPA的缺陷了，再说你的GPA也没有低到说惨不忍睹，有合理的解释应该就可以了。工作经历还是不错的，要有信心阿！

不过在尚在探索未来的情况下
可以先不设定未来是否要走商
并且可以反过来问
为什么当初会想进NGO
尤其是在做了咨询一年之后
为何会在非营利反而做久了点
又为何会重新想回到商

本科成绩不尽理想 却能有超高的GT
是否有某生涯事件造成学术能力茅塞顿开
或是本科时期有外务缠身
背后转折因素很可能是生涯线索
招委与为来雇主也会对此落差产生好奇
