The in formation provided in the argument is "Manufacturers issuecents-off coupons to get consumers to try their brand of product", however,  the conclusion is " thereby attracting a large segment ofpotential consumers as loyal customers."  there is a logic gap between the two issue. Information provided in choice D Do Weaken the availability of the strategy, HOWEVER, we need further information or assumption to support this reason.  Since choice B DIRECTLY undermines the likelihood, the correct answer should be B other than D.
