我跟你的看法有点不一样，我觉得therefore那里就是结论。

premise 1: depreciation of $   <----  pred of slow econ growth
premise 2: but pred of slow econ growth is NOT enough to lead to depreciation of $ IF not for huge deficit
  in other words: huge deficit is a prerequisite for premise 1.
Conclusion: to prevent future depreciation of $, deficit must be decreased.

stem:"Which of the following, if true, would most seriously weaken the conclusion about how to prevent future currency declines?"

See? the question stem suggests that the "therefore" part is the conclusion.
To weaken the conclusion "to prevent future depreciation of $, deficit must be decreased", we can show that pred of slow econ growth can lead to depreciation of $ even without causing huge deficit. In this case deficit is a non-issue, and therefore the conclusion is weakened.
This approach is to attach premise 2 directly, and in turn attack the conclusion.

前提和削弱方法咱们理解的基本一样，
bearmm说的有道理啊，从题干看，therefore还真应该是结论。
赞bearmm和小上邪，又学到了。

大叔的取非已经升华了。。偶都没有想到这一层。。
不过大叔偶还是觉得therefore后面是结论：

prediction--dollar declines
no deficit--no dollar declines =取非= dollar declines--deficits
modifie：deficit(be decrease)

but（conclusion）：predictions--no dollar declines


(D) Before there was a large budget deficit, predictions of slower economic growth frequently caused declines in the dollar's value.
(D)no deficit+predictions--dollar declines

所以你认为反驳了结论：predictions--no dollar declines
因为寻找了其他因素no deficit导致结论相反

是这样不？希望没理解错

3点问题：
1、结论我认为一般不会用would等等如此含糊的词语虚拟这样的语气来表示的 一般与阅读一样 语气肯定 “这就是我的结论” 而不是“可能 大概 好像”这样的词语

2、文章逻辑链条有些乱哈。。
抽离元素：
A→→B，×C→→×B==B→→C
偶感觉如果这样的逻辑链在题中给出了的话 下一步绝对是A-→B-→C
而不是A+C--→B 然后用A+C--→×B来削弱

况且你单看这两个逻辑链：
prediction--dollar declines【*醒目标示】
no deficit--no dollar declines
大叔你不觉得得出这个结论【predictions--no dollar declines】的时候毫无关系可言吗。。？？

3、偶不感觉therefore是伪装。。大叔偶这些天横向 虽然不是100%保证 但是貌似只有结论是没用标识语表明的 或者说事结论隐藏。。貌似还没有therefore+假结论来诱导你的。。。最tricky的也只是mediam conclusion 或者A-B-C然后B加个therefore做个递进。。要不然的话真的就太阴损了。。考生估计就要骂娘了。。我也不敢保全票 大叔总结到了例外的话记得一定要分享给偶哈。。

promise: if no deficit--→no dollar decline
conclusion:no deficit （to prevent dollar decline）

非常干净明郎的逻辑链：
×A--→×B
in order ×B----×A

weaken: if no deficit--→ dollar decline
×A--→B
典型的削弱promise再削弱conclusion

这题的逻辑很像化学反应。

Analogy:
premise 1: production of sulfur dioxide (an air pollutant): S + O2 ------> SO2
premise 2: the reaction won't happen without a catalyst X
Conclusion: to prevent the production of SO2, we must isolate catalyst X.

Weaken:
attack premise 2, even without catalyst X, the reaction can still occur in some other ways (perhaps by some other catalyst or some specific T/P conditions).
- This means that catalyst X is NOT even worthwhile, regarding our goal - the prevention of SO2 production.
-This is what Choice D says.

Choice E: "if catalyst X is present, other stuffs can also produce SO2."
If this is true, we will be more convinced that catalyst X is important for the production of SO2, and thus we will support the author's conclusion that "to prevent the production of SO2, we must isolate catalyst X."
Therefore, Choice E is essentially a strengthener, not a weakener.

好了。。。今天晚上做了37个OG数学，40个prep sc，30个CR，4篇阅读，脑袋昏昏沉沉的，阅读还是比较差的。要抓紧。
我还是喜欢mindmap，虽然整理有些费时，但是做完了就清晰很多。再看也方便。

光做题好吗。。。
其实有没有感觉，当时间真的很紧张时候，反而更能抓紧时间。这次出差大叔发现，原来自己有那么长时间看书的时候，效率反而不高，人啊。。。就是贱。。。
