WSJ has not update its education webpage. So this info is cut from the latest news. I will post the detail after they publish it on web.

"The WSJ ranks MBA graduates and the school as seen through the eyes of recruiters. Recruiters rank students on attributes such as leadership potential, ability to work in teams and analytical and problem-solving skills.  They also rank the school on a variety of dimensions including quality of faculty, core curriculum, career services and our ability to meet their overall recruiting needs."

I certainly know their ranking methodologies.

The fact that a lot of high-calibre HBS and Stanford graduates choose not to work but instead to start up their own firms, pre-determines that assess a business school majorly on the recruiters' feedbacks, is fundamentally flawed. In this case, I think it's more appropriate to rename the ranking as "top recruiter feedback positive business schools in ..."

At least as far as I know, most of the bschool students and administrations and faculty simply snub away the WSJ ranking. Even those tops school on the WSJ's list don't want them to be mentioned of that.

As for the Wall Street Journal, I admit it's truly a VERY good news paper and I read it every day in school. Yet it's dangerous to believe anything on the basis of the so called "credity". Think about the fake news scandal of NY times. I think common sense and your own analysis is more reliable at many times.
