交换生如何写套词信--求各位高人意见 标题要长-----

申请交换生到对方学校某教授的实验室应该如何写申请信
最近在申请国外某校的研究生交换生（因为本校与对方学校有交换生项目） 想打听下对方学校某教授实验室是否可以收留我作为交换生 到该教授实验室做实验  写了如下套词信 请各位提出意见和建议

Dear Professor X,

I am a graduate student from X University,China.I am excited to find that there exists exchange student program between
X  andXX university .Since I find your work on artificial photosynthesis appealing and challenging ,
is there any opportunity to obtain an position in your lab doing research as an exchange student?

If given opportunity to study in your lab ,I am interested to study the application of nanowires in wastewater treatment
and energy conversion.

As a brief introduction, I am a Master candidate on Environmental Engineering in XX University,
I have been developing carbonbased hybrid nanomaterials like CNT&Graphene as photoelectrocatalysts.
The fouryear study on XX engineering as an undergraduate student laid a solid knowledge of biology and
chemistry for me.

我个人觉得
1.写一下自己的专业
2. If given opportunity to study in your lab ,I am interested to study the application of nanowires in wastewater treatment
and energy conversion. 去掉
3. 把个人简介去掉，做成一个C.V以附件的形式发送过去。

谢谢，我也觉得if given不是很合适，一般exchange student 都是打打杂什么的~~
我今天试试看。不过觉得附件形式不可靠。还是贴在邮件上，你觉得呢？
