OG CR部分遇到的两个句子求解释

在做OG阅读的时候遇到如下两个句子，不太了解望高手赐教：P374  Line15 Oral narratives are no more likely than are written narratives to provide a disinterested commentaty on the elements or people.本句中 红色ARE为什么放在than 后，而不是放在蓝色narratives 后呢？
同样在OG  387 No.74 It can be inferred from the passage that predipitation formed from evaperated ocean water has less oxygen 18 than does ocean water.其中DOES 的位置，也让我费解。求指教
