以下是引用snowfield在2006-6-29 15:07:00的发言:

答案C没有问题,但是OG11对d的解释是:The verb tenses are inconsistent with present tense used in the first phrase; redundant again. ,问题是如果将d该为:who declines in reputation after death and who never regains popularity. 是不是就行了呢?三个who非常罗嗦,而且前两个who之间有逗号,但第二格和第三个之间却用and连接,非常怪异啊。

The tenses of choice "D" are the same as the correct choice"C".

Why the verb tenses are wrong in choice D??

楼上的兄弟是否注意到d选项第二个who分句里的时态是过去时,我想错就在这里

我对E.选项的错误原因还是感到十分困惑:

(E) then has declined in reputation after death and never regained popularity

OG说时态不符,但好象同一句话中是允许一般现在时和现在进行时共存的呀! never regained之前应该是省略掉了一个has,和前面的has保持一致.

到是OG没提及的一点我觉得值得考虑,composer has declined 这种主谓搭配正确么? 我是靠着这一点才排除E.的,但看过解释以后整个感觉就是歪打正着.

og11里对于B的解释是:

The two clause are not parallel, lack a coordinating conjunction, and do not describe the same thing

不是特别理解,为什么whose reputation前一定要加一个连词呢?不可以看作who receives popular accalim while living, whose reputation declines after death 和never regains its status三者并列么?

应属于a, but b句型

a(who receives popular acclaim while living),but b(but whose reputation declines after death and never regains its former status)

its 修饰 reputation

36楼的vivian提出的

应属于a, but b句型

a(who receives popular acclaim while living),but b(but whose reputation declines after death and never regains its former status)

its 修饰 reputation

如果是这种句型,那么OG在DE中的解释为

Choices D and E suffer from inconsistency in verb tense. To maintain parallelism the verbs must be receives... declines... regains.

又怎么说呢?

再问NN, who, whose, who怎么平行?

一样晕...这种变态题不会出现在考试当中吧....

看这道题,首选B和C,然后通过比较发现选项B有个again,所以就选C了...

Joachim Raff and Giacomo Meyerbeer are examples of the kind of composer who receives popular acclaim while living, but
whose reputation declines after death and never regains its former status

对于这里的平行问题很不理解,知道的朋友请帮帮忙:

1.是who和but...构成大转折,but中whose和and... 构成小并列吗

2. and之后是省略了who吗,为什么可以这样省略,og其他地方好像没见到呀
