Marketing phd 报背景， 求选校！

废话少说直接上背景，

本科是国内一纠结学校的，不是211但是教育部直属，算是不知名吧，GPA3.9，是系里第一，拿过若干奖学金，（貌似对申请没什么用处）。
明年夏天硕士毕业，经济+统计double major, 在美国东南一个engineering的强校，（当然经济系比较弱，不过统计系还不错）。目前GPA有3.9 做过一个学期的TA.
GRE 1510+4.5 TOEFL 116(有的学校还是要托福)。推荐信一个是Econometrics的老师（只上过课，但是成绩是班里第一，应该会写的比较好），一个是IO的老师（还给他做过一学期的本科计量的TA，但他是前年刚毕业的ap）,还有一个marketing (modeling) 的老师（也是ap），做过一点研究，但是接触时间比较短，推荐信是positive但可能算不上strong， 备选的还有本科级别Analysis的老师，但是是这学期的课，老师只肯等期末出成绩了才给写.
问题是没有考GMAT，而且没有什么研究经历（目前还是收集数据搜集文献的阶段，而且方向比较偏，如果在ps里强调的话可能不太容易找到方向match的老师）精力都花在修数学和统计课上去了。


自然是申请modeling方向（empirical, not theoretical），marketing strategy也可以考虑但是没有研究，对各个系的情况不是很了解，实在是没有空吧各个系的老师的CV都看一遍（一学期五门课的人你伤不起啊ToT），而且现在也没有一个特别明确的研究方向。

想从上面的list里选10到12个申请（deadline太密集了，都申请的话反而都弄不好）还有几个保底的就不说了。希望大家能分析分析上面学校的特点和申请难度，多给宝贵意见！


（补充一个问题，大家觉得我还用再考一下GMAT么？时间比较紧，怕成绩不理想，大部分学校都说indifferent但是听说貌似GMAT平均分会影响program排名，不知道会不会还是更欢迎GMAT）

大哥，你搞笑呢？bing jing是is的phd，在nyu的时候也是is的，再说了，bing jing也是在nyu呆了6年才回长江的，你拿他举例子不正好说明了ckgsb招不到像样的marketing rookie嘛。

Ckgsb had only one AP in marketing who has just been promoted to untenured associate. Check his record first

To be hones, I only ranked the universities by the leading marketing journals using the UTD database, and crossed out those I don't want to go and those I think I have very slim chance to get into. The programs I listed are the ones left. As for the programs you listed,  Chicago, MIT, Stanford, Wharton and duke are the most competitive ones. The deadline of INSEAD is too early. Regards CMU, I was attracted by the placement so I choose to give it a shot. Others I cannot decide so I'm asking for advice. Thanks for your reply.

这个list里除了PSU难度都很大吧，Uwash是几乎不招中国人。如果你是Gatech的话似乎去年有个跟你背景类似的女生申到了Northwestern，也许可以试试。
建议多考虑Wustl,Toronto,OSU,Purdue,Pitts,Emory,UFL这几所，把握相对比较大
