You have no clue. This year, a candidate turned down UT Dallas and joined CKGSB as an Assistant Professor. Moreover, an assistant Professor left U of Michigan and joined CKGSB as an Assistant Professor at CKGSB. A year ago, an assistant Professor left ASU and joined CKGSB as an Assitant Professor. Check CKGSB web pages on faculties before jumping to conclusions.
There will be a tide of academics flooding China in the coming years, including foreigners. Let's wait and see.
CK is very good in terms of its selected faculty. Currently, it is a good place for seniors, but not for rookies. That is the main concern why it is hard to attract to top fresh candidates.
