要不要陶瓷的问题，求高手~-apply for strategy

听说北美的商学院教授决定权都木有很大，因为是学院给钱。
1）陶瓷有多大用？
2）要找谁陶瓷？是不是最好找系主任这种一定在commetee里面的？
3）怎么陶瓷呀呀~写写老师我读过您的论文我对您的方向感兴趣您今年招不招博士生？

No use... i typically receive 5~10 emails (not just chinese applicants, but also applicatns from other countries) every day during the application season... I typically delete them without opening... My colleagues do the same thing...

貌似以前听到这样的传闻 哥大的终身教授王先生收到很多套磁的信而他没有删除而是把自己正在研究的一个东西发给他希望他们给些自己的见解后来有位湖大的 数学博士给出了很好的 见解  王先生邀请他去哥大做博士后研究  
所以我认为 陶瓷之前总的拿出点能拿的出手的东西    当然不包括GPA  GMAT什么的了 因为不缺少两个都高的人

这个写的什么我真的是不知道了我只是把我曾经读过的这个湖南大学数学博士的经历告诉你  并不是每一个陶瓷都没有用当然大多数大牌还是不屑于看邮件的  祝你成功 一切皆有可能

I only contact those I met in conferences, or introduced by my reference, or whose paper(s) I cited in my working paper. In any case, I would like to contact them even I were not applying. I think that's a good rule of thumb.
