有点不可思议了 不看选项都能想出是 D 啊

我觉得你对题目的理解没有很充分，按照你的说法,(D)with the spacing between rows cut by half, the number of plants grown per acre will almost double
但是题目有提到 Corn planted this closely will produce lower yields per plant
这是这个discrepancy的关键
D忽略了这方面，而A的意思是，虽然yeilds下降了，但是weed control and irrigation 的费用少了
so -->the new machine will (still) allow corn growers to double their profits per acre
有一点compensate的意思

不过我觉得这要是个support的题的话 是可以这么理解a选项


但承接文中上半句 真的不觉得省下的除草剂钱 够让产量翻番的
