这里say和could时态不一致。say在中间不能说say X，只能说X say.句末才可以用say X.而且后面的because of 表原因，这里没有表原因，用by表方式。请指正。

我觉得D错在 its skimming上吧。GMAT好像认为 its doing 等句型是awkward的。

不过我还是不太明白C为什么是错的

不觉得D中的its doing是错的, 至少不是什么硬伤.

这题是在考by这个词的逻辑意思, by表示方式和手段, C中的with表示伴随, D中的because of表示原因, 都违背了本意, 所以错误, 另外D中的插入语say its proponents也是一个错误的原因.
