1.HP has lost 6 CEO, there are much conjecture among the tech world.
2.Facing this problem, hp is considering recruit a superstar to be its new CEO, as some facts indicated that the value of the share of a company with a famous CEO would leap.
3.However, some studies show an opposite conclusion that the more dazzle the CEO behaved in the previous firm, the more bad he or she would do in the new firm which hired them with fat premium.
4.Compared to the superstar CEO, the culture of a firm seems to be more important in the process of development of a firm. that is also a reason of the phenomenon that point 3 says.

8‘12”

- Mr. Perkins published "Sex and Zillionist" on the market. It's a book encountered a lot sex. After published, his book got a really burning sale on the market and Amazon.
- However, the sale of Mr. perkin's book is actually opposite as the situation of HP company. Mr. Perkin works in HP as a CEO. In 2005, there were many high level managers resigned from HP. due to the scandal.Even the HP director has to resign for few months over the investigation of the scandal. And this becomes the bad time for HP.
- At the same time, the IBM celebrates its 100th birthday for company. Was this the end for HP as a big boss in Silicon Vally? No, HP later hired superstar as CEO from outsiders, this means that these outsiders are not promoted within the board of HP. According to the report, the hire of superstars in 1997 is only 15%, and the share of company raises in 2005, but then it declined again.
- There are two guys M. and ...study on the superstar hiring in these companies. Most companies used to run well normally pay a fat check to these people, but the result turned that the companies' operation declined after these people's management.
- The reasons for the companies decline are mainly reviewed as these CEO's inflation within the company. Most of them are outsiders, namely, they used to work in other industries. Because of their fame, they are hired, and the company's share will raise for a period before it declines. Thus, the company won't run well without the intentions and complete plan of CEOs.
- There are two examples of superstat CEOs. One is IBM, but fortunately, it runs well. Another one is HP, they used to hire a woman who's nearly outsider and work within board for a few months. however, this woman planed to go for election in CA and finally failed because she couldn't take care of both her CEO's job and her election, although she spent million dollars against another bold guy. So this is something that we have to consider when hire superstars as CEOs.
