Good Comments, I love it.
Overall speaking, Duke is friendly to international students, which accounts for 30-40% of total student body. However, one of the reasons for us as international students coming to the U.S. is experiencing different cultures and building a high-quality global network. Fuqua makes efforts to meet students' expectation by building a diverse student body and creating a strong collaborative culture. Although this year, we have less students from a single country, but this has also something to do with the total applicant pool and yield rate.(Quite a few people got admitted but didn't come.) So I think it make no difference for qualified candidate to be admitted by Fuqua. A few things to share with you guys are 1) Fuqua is core school of MCKinsey and BCG. Deloitte Consulting is even the largest recruiter of Fuqua last year. This year, Fuqua has improved its relationship with Bain and we had already several recruiting event organized by Bain on campus. It's really a good choice for people interested in Consulting. The consulting club here is awesome. 2) No.1 in healthcare. A tons of opportunities! Healthcare industry accounts for 20% of U.S. GDP. Duke is leader in healthcare and Fuqua has the best MBA health sector management program. What's more important, even you have no healthcare background, you can transform your career to healthcare with the HSM program, which basically means that you can enjoy life while having a decent MBA salary. -- by 会员 fabiano (2011/9/29 14:35:14)
