don't let the GT score hold you back, but rather, realize it's a not your strongest suite (may not be a good test taker, had a rough week when taking the test, whatever it maybe), tell a story, and how you think you can improve/learn from that. "Who you are" is not the most important thing to the school, "Who you can become" is more important. knowing yourself, your strength and weaknesses can certainly increase the odds of your future career success, and MBA schools love those candidates with good self awareness.
check out the Ross admit that started off with a super low T score, if you haven't already. that story showed determination, which is more important than the end result, for me at least. On a separate story, T is kind of a necessity, cause you need basic language skills to perform in class as well as recruiting. but my point is, if you can tell a convincing story around your G score, no matter how low it is, you always have the chance to win the heart of the admission people. and btw, while 700 is certainly not a super star score, i don't think you need to struggle too much on that, and it certainly does not require specific explanation around that score. Focus on your essay, on your personality, your ambition for your future etc., that would give you a better chance of getting accepted than fixating on the GMAT score.
I maybe able to give you some suggestions, but in the end, you are the one that knows all your stories, and you should be the best person hand picking those stories and weaving a best package for the admission to review.
Hope this helps, and best of luck to your application to Tuck.
