当时的解答是这样的：因为如果对Ｂ取非，在写书的时候hartley根本没看过Lawrence写的书，也就不存在抄袭。也就无所谓：intellectual debt owed to Lawrence.

1，对B取非，可得不出你说的结果，取非后的结论是在写书时没有看过他的原稿，未必在写书前没有看过，未必没有听过别人说起，种种可能都存在。

A:  D的意思是劳伦斯没有从哈特利得到启发云云，也就是说，劳伦斯的书虽然在前，但他也有可能是从哈特利学来的，而哈特利才是原作者。D就是排除了这种原因。

我还是糊涂啊。能不能再讲讲。谢谢。

assumption 是结论的必要条件。因此判断 assumption的最佳方法，就是将其取“否”，如果选项不成立，结论不成立。可以说，这就是我们苦苦追求的答案assumption.
