最想知道的还是就业，就比如 谁读了中大 或者科大之后 从制造业转投行等等 或者是其他的就业

郎咸平已经退休了， executive director is not a senior position.

James Mirrlees is great but is 75. Only chinese schools will pay so much to these reitired Nobel Prize winners. no use. just for the name. No US schools would do that. 只有面子没有里子。

You dont need a PhD to talk about currency conflicts in CNN which is fully of bullshit. Real scholars dont do that. Do you ever see James Mirrlees going on TV?
James Mirrlees was a great scholar but the money paid to him will be more valuable to hire a few active scholars like those in HKUST.  
The fact he is going to school does not justify the amount of money to him. It is understandable because he won the Nobel prize but HKUST wont spend money that way.



Leslie young wrote a good article about the economic thought of Si Maqian, the West Han Historian. He is a very good economist but not well known in finance. He did publish some papers with Larry Lang in finance. Larry Lang is more recognized in finance.

Larry Lang's name is still listed but he is retired now and will not do research or teaching for CUHK. Many schools listed their retired professors on their web sites.

Michael, what's your point?
nevermindband and stella are doing good jobs sharing useful information for new MBA applicants, while you only attack and post negative words on other schools and famous schloars.  Stop doing it and instead you can post more constructive info about yr HKUST MBA.

michael1999, I agree with you in a sense, but the problem is you are from UST. I wonder if there's a mistake that you were talking something miles away from ur b-school.

参加了CUHK的宣讲会，被彻底得迷上了；更何况，本人是LARRY的忠实粉丝之一，更是对CUHK充满敬仰之情。后来也和CUMBA的ALUMNI聊，LARRY 目前还在授课，只是一年隔一年~中大今年新投入了一个FINANCE LAB，主攻TRADING和financial enginerring的授课。很吸引人。
