现有两个问题想请教：

1。c 中的dispute 怎样理解，是辩论道的意思（也就是后面是作者的观点），还是反驳的意思（也就是作者反对后面的观点）

2。a specific claim 指什么？是she was ahead of her time in understanding that吗？

我选的是D,总觉得这几个答案说得都差不多，只有一些小词的变化，有没有NN把这类体中的小词的区别说一下，比如说：evidence and fact, premise and mid-conclusion

2。你对a specific claim的理解是对的。

3。C对的原因是：A不同意C采用的标准（怎样才是一个伟大的作家，A不同意C的标准）

                          A不同意C的一个断言（she was ahead of her time in understanding that，A认为那时大家都已理解）

4。D错的原因是：A只是直接用不同的标准，并没有提供FACT支持他用的标准是对的。

5。B错的原因：并没有GENERALIZE的过程（to form a general opinion after considerating only a small number of the fact)

但还有一点不明白，Besides, the social consequences of industrialization were widely understood in Franchot’s day. 这是一个claim, evidence 还是 fact? 他们之间怎样区别呢？

具体到本题，它可能是CLAIM，因为没有进一步的证据证明它。它应该是EVIDENCE，因为在本句，它被用于证明A的观点。它应该是FACT，即事实存在的。建议查英英字典。这是最好的老师
