6''27~ 1. In a film, it was dipicted that bosses fired those employees who are fat. In reality, it is not that crucial, but employers do care about employee's health condition. These conditions has relation with productivity and health premium. 2. GE has made some measures, such as the anti-smoking program. Also, GYM, Salad...many things. 3. IBM also has done sth., and IBM held a survey, which shows that normal people cost less to live than fat people do. IBM offer incentives to the entire family instead of a certain employee. 4. People can be manipulated to make the right choices. Many companies have made strategies ..... 5. What matters is not short-term benefits, but long-term benefits. The GE experience shows, however, that the anti-smoking program did work and reduced the amount of living costs. 6. In the near future, companies may turn to Obama's new policy and do not offer healthy program. But those who still offer may not only give incentives, but also sticks. At GE, for instance, those who smoke pay more than those who do not smoke.
