Improving schools is the most important factor for the successful development of a country.

Education has always been the crucial factor for the successful development of a country, which has been profoundly proved by history. But it is not an only factor, many other elements also play fundamental roles in this development.Besides, education can be achieved by many ways, school education is just merely one of them. So I do not approve of the assertion that the successful development of a country mostly depends on the improvement of schools. Following are my reasons.

First of all, education does not solely equal to the school education. Even though school education is a major part of education, especially when it comes to national education. Nowadays most countries in the world pour a large account of their annual budget into education. After the school boards receive the money from the federal government, they can choose to improve the equipment of schools, which includes installing the latest computer system, updating the maintaining system of the school libraries and setting up more convenient sports equipment, or to award the outstanding students, who might need the scholarships to afford their tuition fees. Meanwhile, many countries launch a set of law to regulate the compulsory education, which means that every child must go to school without any tuition fees, which are afforded by the government. A fitting example is that Chinese government regulates nine-year compulsory education. But, education is a lifetime study ,it is not complete with graduation.That is why there are many other approaches to learn other than school education. Maybe the government does not yet completely realize the importance of other aspects of education, they do matter to the development of the country.

Secondly, the succeed of the development of a country does not solely depend on education, it still needs guarantees and improvements in other fields, such as politics, economics and so forth. Only with the peaceful international and domestic environment can guarantee the wheel of a nation works well. When a nation falls into the ruthless war, the primary goal of it is to guard its mainland, defend itself from any enemies. Who would think of development at that time? Besides, the blossom of economics is one of the most dominant factors to the development of a nation. Only with the well-developing education, the peaceful political environment and the keep-rolling wheel of the economics can guarantee the successful development of a nation.

To sum up, improving schools is a factor for the national development, but it is not the most important one. Only with many other improvements can guarantee that a country can thrive.
