Yes my friend, happy to offer up some advice. Each year we work with a number of folks who are making a career shift from legal into business. The trick always seems to be to prove that you have a LEADERSHIP background. Folks in law firms and even in-house tend to be told what to do by higher-ups. Not muuuuch room for creativity and leadership. You have two main challenges: first, you must SHOW all your leadership potential. Show that you don’t fit into this category. Secondly, you must somehow link your experience to BUSINESS. Why does it make SENSE for you to shift into business? That’s the trick—if you can do these two things, and if your scores are strong etc., you should be able to crack a top-20 school this year. Hope this helps, and good luck!
