没看懂原文里说 researchers dismissed demographic bias because older individuals were nor overrepresented in the fossils samples.这句话的意思

那句话的意思应该是说，调查研究者剔除了数量的问题因为在化石样本中没有发现过多的老年生物个体
然后d说，确定化石样本中动物年龄的办法错误得将很多老年生物个体识别为青年个体，就是说年纪大的食肉动物实际上要少一些
如果这样的话研究者剔除这个问题就是错的了
undermine应该就是CR中削弱的意思

将老龄个体识别为青年个体的结果应该是实际上年老个体应该更多吧，所以导致 demographic bias 不能被 dismissed.
