A说这大学的fundraiser从那些之前没有捐款的人那获得捐款的成功率和别的大学的fundraiser的成功率差不多..这样就加强了题目中的结论: 这大学的高成功率主要是因为"people most likely to donate are those who have donated in the past",而不是fundraiser的个人能力比别的大学的强..

C是shell game...这句话只是强调了题目中的premise.."the people most likely to donate are those who have donated in the past"...

这题是一道填补Gap的题,

结论是The high success rate shows insufficient canvassing effort.
Principle则是good fund-raisers constantly try less-likely prospects in an effort to expand the donor base.

所以根据Principle可以得出better fund-raisers gain more less-likly prospects (larger donor base),而A选项对less-likly prospects成功率的对比正好能得出结论。

在计时的情况下，大家都不约而同的选了C……
我后来读了N遍之后才发现C的错误：文章讨论的是contact之后的概率，而C说的是没contact的，所以是两码事儿，无关~
可是在考试时候咋办啊？有没有大牛有给好方法，能迅速把这些关系理清？

如楼上所说，C选项跟题干信息“Smithtown University’s fund-raisers succeeded in getting donations from 80 percent of the potential donors they contacted.  ”矛盾了，是无关选项。

这个题有点绕。
