忘了当时做选的是A还是D了，不过现在看来D是最好的选择。

A的逻辑是不准确的。如果真如les说是两个句子并列，第二个句子省略了主语，那至少需要给一个这两个句子并列的动机。

我觉得并不是这车能载7人和这车比X车更NB。

而是这XXX车比X车更NB。

所以support D。

也算有幸看到这么长的讨论。我本来选的A，但是看完大家讨论之后觉得D也很有道理。

看了讨论之后，原来想求一个正确答案的想法反而淡了。掌握方法，可能比答案更加重要吧

逻辑意思上想,应该是A啊.

乘坐一样多的人,还compared with别的VAN干嘛?compare的一定是后面的优势项目吧.

I asked an American friend who taught English for a long time and he said he would choose A. (I know that Americans are not alwayrs right... )

He said, "carry as many as seven passengers" are meaningfully seperate with the later part of the sentence and thus is not part of the parallel idioms. "and" is used here correctly.

            但看了这么多分析的帖子，也着实动摇过。不过，现在又坚定了些。表面上看，A比D要顺眼的多，读上去也是那么的朗朗上口。可是在这里ETS下了一个小小的机关。关键是看compare 的方向在哪？若是与前面的比较carry as many as seven passengers，好象没有比较的含义,即使能够比较and 也不能直接跟在passengers后吧；若是与后面比较呢cost less, get better gas mileage, allow passengers to get in and out more easily, and have a smoother ride.似乎挺顺，但这里需要添加一个对应的主语，应该变成Minivans carry as many as seven passengers and, compared with most sport utility vehicles, (they) cost less，get better gas mileage, allow passengers to get in and out more easily, and have a smoother ride

 

不知道这样分析能不能够被大家接受，欢迎意见

A is correct,

they can be omited here b/c from the beginning, there is only one subject: the Minivans, there is no need to repeat.

狂忍不住要发言。。原本选A，但看了答案后，觉得D好。同意carring as many as 7 passagers不是比较的内容，而是伴随状语，意“在载客多达7人的情况下”与运动功能型车比较，cost.., get..,allow..and have...

不是牛人，本人所感：逻辑>"牵强的语法"。ETS不会变态到丧心病狂地折磨international stundents吧，应为题主要是出给本土的嘛！从高点儿的角度看，最为准确地逻辑地理解句意更为重要。特别是有些极为含糊地语法出现时。Anyway,无意冒犯，可能“真理往往掌握在少数人手里”吧。

本来选D，但是看了第一页就觉得A对。其实选D的时候我很嘀咕：OG里面几乎没有过两个分词短语放在一起，通常都属于语义不清。
