本人愚钝，1.无法理解红色部分的翻译，是不是这样呢：如果它基于的假设轻微改变，精确性就会失去所有的作用？那only if何解呢？和杨鹏的翻译对不上号啊，loses its all force不是失去所有吗？怎么翻译里面是一部分呢？
                   2.only if 后的it指代什么？是argument吗？如果是的话，那么on which 后的it也是指代argument对吗？
                   3.红色部分的its指代什么？不清楚

我想了想，only if是不是大条件呢？只有当only if 后面这些成立的时候，argument才会令人信服？可是这样翻译意思就不对了啊
