Actually if you want to work in industry, you really dont need to study PhD. PhD is for people to be a faculty member and do research (main duty in professor level) If you want to work in industry, you'd better get a good Master or MBA and take CFA. It will help more.
When you come to work, actually no one cares what you have learned in master or PhD (I mean working in industry) Therefore, where the master program is for earning money does not matter. Most important is that you have the degree.
For example, I am working as a teaching assistant at university. If I want to be professor in the future, I have to have PhD, but if I get back to work in industry, PhD does not help.
