香港理工会计PHD被录，有人了解吗？真的很不知所措。。。

Actually if you want to work in industry, you really dont need to study PhD. PhD is for people to be a faculty member and do research (main duty in professor level)
If you want to work in industry, you'd better get a good Master or MBA and take CFA. It will help more.

When you come to work, actually no one cares what you have learned in master or PhD (I mean working in industry) Therefore, where the master program is for earning money does not matter. Most important is that you have the degree.

For example, I am working as  a teaching assistant at university. If I want to be professor in the future, I have to have PhD, but if I get back to work in industry, PhD does not help.

你可以去各商学院的网站上看看会计PHD的course requirements,我还真没见到什么program不要求econometrics的

polyu的会计曾经在hk名噪一时的，现在虽然不如以前了，还是有一些不错的老师的，像wilson tong，应该不错的

原来是曾经声名大噪啊。。。我还以为他们的会计一直在港很强大啊。。。。囧。。。
anyway，今天已经放弃了美国的学校，准备去港理工phd了，我家里说了，反正少工作两年，多工作两年也无所谓，学习就当工作了，呵呵。

呵呵,我觉着不比ob啥的高, 那么多烂校本科, 四大工作的老美,整的太难,他们智商也不够用阿.

sorry for that,我按照我们学校硕博的课程要求来推断了~macro确实不太需要，不过micro和econometrics的要求还是不低的吧~

他们都是那么claim的, 大部分中国在读学生的econometrics水平其实都overqualify了.

PolyU的会计PHD至少能去中大南开这类学校的吧，HK的商科PHD国内总体来说还不算太多的。

哇，能去中大南开啊~
不过感觉形势愈演愈烈，4,5年后，可能HK的PHD没现在这么吃香了吧，感觉海归PHD会越来越多的。。。
