【学校信息-求助】北卡UNC-chapel hill MAC到底要什么人？

二年之前，来自中国的本科生，在UNC也是极少的。

I got some info from a friend who knows something about UNC MAC, here is what he told me:

"It is a popular program. Many F-2s end up applying for this program. The job market for MAC graduates was good in the past, but it becomes tougher these years. My friend recommended to browse the program website carefully, there are a lot of useful info about application. Many chinese students got admitted because they are already here, and may have the chance to talk to the admission office. My personal guess is that the program thinks that many oversea students would apply for multiple schools and their experience was that they ended up not taking UNC's offer at last, so they prefer foreign applicants from local area that is obviously limited to local school since their other half is already studying at UNC or Duke.

我囧。。。原来F-2还有这功效，怎么说UNC也是不错的学校，这么没信心，还care童鞋们不去？

原因是美本已经过了语言关了。他们认为国际学生找工作语言最重要，事实上也是这样的，而这个项目只有一年，所以一来就要开始找工作，需要一个好的语言基础，最重要的是要有好的口语基础。Placement的统计就是招人的资本，可不想让国际学生影响了数字。。。that's it！

原因是美本已经过了语言关了。他们认为国际学生找工作语言最重要，事实上也是这样的，而这个项目只有一年，所以一来就要开始找工作，需要一个好的语言基础，最重要的是要有好的口语基础。Placement的统计就是招人的资本，可不想让国际学生影响了数字。。。that's it！
