GMATPrep里的一道数学题-求解题思路

Six countries in a certain region sent a total of 75 representatives to an international congress, and no two countries sent the same number of representatives. Of the six countries, if Country A sent the second greatest number of representatives, did Country A sent at least 10 representatives?

(1) One of the six countries sent 41 representatives to the congress.
(2) Country A sent fewer than 12 representatives to the congress.


答案是E, Statement(1) and (2) together are not sufficient.


每次遇到这种题总是很晕，请问这种题型要怎么思考呢？

首先看条件1.。肯定不满足的  A可以去15也可以去9
条件2也不满足的
此时再看两个条件合在一起是否满足。。。能举出反例 41，10，8，7，5，4
其实OG里面有做这种题的思路呢。。你可以看一看··

看来还是要用列举法举出反例咯？

你说的是OG12么？为何我没有找到这道题诶。。。

这种题目就极限举例法呗，最大和最小的组合，一共6个数，A是排第二的，进行适当加减就ok啦；如果用逻辑思维来做，这道题目说白了问A与10的关系，很明显我们无法得出改A与10的关系，answer当然选e~

我知道思路是怎么一回事，但是没太弄懂的是：问题是did country A send at least 10representatives? 一般疑问句，我们只需要回答yes 或 no,
对于（1），A不一定比10大，所以是NO
对于（2）同样NO
然后我选D 都充足了。。。。。。。。。。。。
是不是很白痴。。。但是我就是钻进牛角尖去了。。。。

6个国家 75人 A第二大国 各国人数无重复

(1)75-41=34 所以41是最多人国
怎样A人最多 其他四国1+2+3+4=10  
34-10=21
怎样A人最少 难算  假设A是9人  那其他四国最多是8 7 6 5
9+8+7+6+5=35>34    那只要变成9+8+7+6+4就可以了
所以 不可判断

(2)题设意思是A<12  
最小4位数的和是大于10的 A>4即可行
另外哪怕A=5  最大数也可以是75-15
所以 不可判断

两个合起来
假设A是10
看零界      五国最小是20  最大是10+9+8+7+6=40
包含着34  所以还是不可判断





我也在PREP里做过这个题 当时很快就想好了  可是说出来有点麻烦 也不知道有没有漏洞

总之 这样题目 你就拿零界做比较  假设A就是10   6国和的最大值和最小值 看是否符合题设
