I really appreciate your suggestion which is very helpful. But there is another question, the letter from VT says that " While your application is very strong, the faculty felt that it would be helpful for you to take an undergraduate level finance course along with the typical MS courses during the first semester of your coursework here at Virginia Tech as you do not have finance listed in your transcript.Once that has been successfully completed, you will be admitted fully into the program." What does that mean, does that means if I don't pass the finance courses,I will not be accepted by the program? And I have to spend more that 2 years to finish my PHD lessons?-- by 会员 aihuge1000 (2011/4/3 22:29:31)
Hey there! This is GREAT news, I am so glad to hear that you have…effectively been accepted! This doesn’t mean that you will need to take any extra time—just that one of the courses you take will need to be a more basic finance class. This is quite common—we see it often. So you will simply accept the program, go there, and pass the class! Of course you wont fail the course—you will be with a bunch of undergraduates of course! J So take the class, and move forward. You are just fine here—this is quite typical, all you need to do is accept their invitation, and do what they say. You are in great shape here.
