Hey there! Generally, Virginia Tech (I assume you mean Pamplin) has a better reputation here in the US. It is true that FIU has a great international program, but we believe that students should go to the best school that they can get into.  amplin is a GREAT program, and their average salaries and job placements (for what its worth) are far better than those at FIU. That would be my recommendation, between these two programs. Also, not too shabby to be so close to Washington DC! J Hope this helps, and good luck!
I really appreciate your suggestion which is very helpful. But there is another question, the letter from VT says that "While your application is very strong, the faculty felt that it would be helpful for you to take an undergraduate level finance course along with the typical MS courses during the first semester of your coursework here at Virginia Tech as you do not have finance listed in your transcript.Once that has been successfully completed, you will be admitted fully into the program." What does that mean, does that means if I don't pass the finance courses,I will not be accepted by the program? And I have to spend more that 2 years to finish my PHD lessons?
