UCLA的MFE和CORNELL比就业，是不是差不多呢？~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

UCLA和CORNELL的侧重点不一样
CORNELL回大行去亚洲的比较多，
UCLA MFE的CONNECTION是西海岸的一些ASSET MANAGEMENT, 大的有PIMCO, BLACKROCK, FRANKLIN TEMPLETON.
以往每届中国人只有1～2个毕业直接回国，

另外UCLA MFE在ANDERSON，所以实习基本保证的，如果自己没找到的话这个项目的career service会帮你找到，FULL TIME中国人还是比美国人找工作更难一些

不过貌似认识一个中国人读完mfe之后，又去读了一个统计的master，这个就业真要看个人........

Actually, cornell's intern placement is not always good, because bernake's QE2 and everyday's rising stock give the banks a illusion, so they give more offer this year. At the end of the summer, at least 50%+ of the interns wont be able to get the full time offer.  UCLA's placement is much more worse, havent seen any good spot on it. It can never compare with UCB. Besides, in US, Harvard, Yale, Princeton is still the top in the American elite, mit, stanford just means you are smart, but still not in the top class (especailly in the famility background) in USA.

West coast has lots of very good asset management firms , VCs and PEs...
sell-side ppl always want to get a better job in buy-side firms after years working.....

看起来UCLA的就业率，比MIT Princeton CMU NYU还高。。。
